Requirements

Summary: The intake coordinator will oversee calls, intake requests and family needs of Miriam’s Heart. The ideal candidate is passionate about making connections with churches and familiar with the work of Miriam’s Heart. The ideal candidate is a great communicator, firmly dedicated to working with churches and community leaders while meeting the needs of families


General:


  • Responds to intake needs by engaging the Miriam's Heart network of support.

  • Enters needs (when appropriate) into CarePortal

  • Monitors trends in the needs of children and families

  • Assigns follow-up actions to Miriam's Heart team members

  • Coordinates church member responses and community responses to ensure the request can be closed

  • Coordinate with ambassadors to make connections with church leaders.

  • Serve as the initial point of contact to help each church get activated on the CarePortal platform.


Capacity


  • Actively engaged in a church and trusted by church leadership to serve in this role.

  • Familiar with the needs of adoptive and foster families and demonstrates a track record of working with families and children at-risk.

  • Proactively supports ministry leaders by creating a strategy for regular coaching and dialogue

  • Collaborate with the MH team to engage, empower, & equip church pastors and serve as a liaison sion to the Miriam’s Heart leadership team and board.

  • Participate in periodic regional meetings & work with other regional leaders to establish goals and identify gaps in the care of children and families in your community

  • Engage and equip current churches and community responders to use the CarePortal platform

Time: Able to dedicate 5-10 hours per week to in a flexible manner, working around meetings with the key players in the network.


Compensation: Volunteer role that is expected to quickly expand into a compensated role as the network of churches grows
