Our Roots
We don't just bring children into families. We bring children into families that are prepared and supported. We look for ways to keep families together and stand in the gap whenever and wherever we are needed. We understand that in our successes are the often unseen knitting together of a family and the emergency donation of supplies for a family awaiting a late-night placement of a child from foster care. From hospital rooms to courtrooms, we press in when needed and stand at a distance much like the brave Miriam of the Bible did. You see, Miriam put into action everything the child, birth family, and adoptive family needed in the first recorded adoption of Moses.
Like our namesake, we are not afraid to get our hands dirty and to advocate in the face of terrible circumstances, as we know that the Divine is often hidden among the mud and the reeds.
