Jasmin Bethea

Director of Programs

As Director of Programs, Jasmin's current focus within Miriam's Heart is developing the internship program to provide meaningful and impactful educational and work experiences for interns. In addition, Jasmin designs and implements workshops for families and Miriam's Heart leadership based on their needs, provides respite events and increases community awareness by partnering with local high schools and other community organizations to extend the Miriam's Heart network and continues to support foster and adoptive children and families. Jasmin completed a Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies and a minor in Education as a Social Science in 2015 from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and is currently in pursuit of professional certificates in Human Resources, Project Management, Public Planning and Policy, and Child and Family Advocacy. Jasmin began her professional career in several K-12 public and charter schools, where she served as an educator, an advisor for class and student programming, a liaison between the school and local stakeholders, and facilitated several workshops for parents to make them aware of the local and free resources available to the students and their families. Jasmin also works as an HR-Talent Acquisition Coordinator, and has a robust background in Human Resources for a globally recognized aerospace company facilitating orientation for hundreds every week and assisting with process improvement initiatives related to onboarding. Jasmin brings knowledge, experience, passion, and excitement to the Miriam's Heart team. Jasmin Bethea is the mother of one vivacious little girl and the oldest daughter of board member Joi.
