Miriam's Heart Fund

The Miriam's Heart fund provides for the costs of adoption and post-placement therapy and counseling fees. We are the only fund focused on meeting the needs of adoptive families in the Northeast that offers support regardless of agency, church, organizational or other affiliation. All monies that are placed in the Miriam's Heart Fund will go directly toward adoption expenses and post-placement therapy and support for adoptive children and families.

Donations made here are sent directly to the Miriam's Heart Fund managed by Lifesong for Orphans. 100% of donations received are given directly to support children who were adopted and their families. https://give.lifesong.org/lifesong/p238-pf

Other Ways To Give

Charitable Remainder Trust: A Charitable Remainder Trust enables donors to set aside a current asset with a low cost-basis for the future benefit of Miriam’s Heart, while reserving lifetime income for themselves and, if applicable, other designated beneficiaries.

Charitable Lead Trust: A Charitable Lead Trust (CLT) enables donors to pass assets onto heirs, without incurring large gift or estate tax exposure. A CLT is created for a designated period of time, with income payments being directed to Miriam’s Heart for the duration of the trust, and the remainder to individuals.

Sample bequest language:

I give to Miriam's Heart, Inc., (Tax ID#45--5473085) $_________________(or _____________% of the rest of my estate) for general operating purposes.

Please be sure to notify us by emailing elizabeth@miriamsheart.org of your intention to make a planned gift.

Property Donation

Property donations can be made to Miriam’s Heart.Whether it’s the family home, undeveloped land, a rental property, or some other investment, your real estate held for more than one year may be the most highly appreciated asset you own. This means you could face significant capital gains taxes if you sell your real estate. Depending on your particular financial and charitable goals, donating real estate to a 501(c)(3) public charity, such as a donor-advised fund, could allow you to leverage one of your most valuable investments to achieve maximum impact with your charitable giving.
