Care Portal & The Church - An Information Session

2020 has put New Jersey's children (and their families) at significant risk of food insecurity, poverty,  illness, neglect, abuse, and abandonment. Many of these families have minimal connections with strong, stable people who are able to help. Miriam’s Heart is implementing CarePortral as a service designed to connect families in need to churches. It will allow for child and family serving agencies to connect churches to the needs around them.

Did you know something as simple as a bed could mean the difference between a child being removed and placed into foster care? Each week, Miriam's Heart receives messages from families at risk of separation, foster families in need of tangible support, and organizations requesting help. The list goes on and on - but connecting them with others who might be able to help can be an extremely time consuming task.  CarePortal is a tool that we have been vetting and exploring for over a year that could help us start doing this much more efficiently (and cost effectively).

CarePortal is an online platform that organizes the Church into a connected network of churches dedicated to responding to the needs of their communities. .
