About The Event
In partnership with Advocacy 4 Education, LLC (https://advocacy4education.com/) this event is being led by Katie Passman. Katherine Passman is an educational advocate who is passionate about ensuring all children receive the free and appropriate Public Education they are entitled to.
In 2003, Katherine received a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed) in Preschool Psychology from Fordham University. Â She also earned a Professional Diploma in School Psychology and maintains a NJ state certification as a School Psychologist.
This presentation will assist attendees in understanding the process of developing an IEP.  Information regarding the landmark supreme court case Endrew F. v. Douglas County School District and its impact on the development of an IEP will be discussed. Attendees will learn how to determine if an IEP document contains all of the required elements.  Is your child’s IEP individualized? Does your child’s IEP contain specific, measurable and appropriately ambitious goals? Is your child’s IEP written to allow for meaningful progress? Â
