Elizabeth and her husband, Jim, first developed Miriam’s Heart in 2009. Speaker, author, and co-founder and President of a New Jersey-based non-profit, Miriam’s Heart. Elizabeth has 15 years of experience working with children who have been adopted or placed in foster care and their families. Elizabeth holds a BS in Human Services, has a MS in Child and Adolescent Psychology, and is a TBRI practitioner. Elizabeth served on the International Orphan Sunday and Stand Sunday leadership team for the Christian Alliance for Orphans from 2010-2022. In 2021, Elizabeth received a Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute Angels in Adoption® award after she was nominated by New Jersey Senators. Elizabeth sits on the Somerset County Commission on Child Abuse and Missing Children, Somerset County Children’s Inter-Agency Coordinating Council (CIACC), and the Faith Leader subcommittee of the Somerset County Office of Youth Services.
Elizabeth is a certified life-coach with the Life Coach Training Institute and also has received her
Master’s Academy - Christian Life Coach Certification in 2025.
Elizabeth and her husband, James, are adoptive parents themselves and were licensed foster parents for a decade. Together, they have 5 children and welcomed a son-in-law in 2023 and their first grandson in 2024.
